• Nhưng đối với dạng quá khứ, chúng ta sử dụng had (không dùng got)

Ví dụ:

Lisa had long hair when she was a child (not Lisa had got)

• Trong câu phủ định hoặc câu hỏi, có 3 dạng sau

Do you have any questions?

Or have you got any questions?

Or have you any questions? (ít sử dụng)

I don't have any questions

Or I haven't got any questions

Or I haven't any questions (ít dùng)

Does she have a car?

Or have you got any questions?

Or has she a car? (ít dùng)

She doesn't have a car

She hasn't got a car

She hasn't a car (ít dùng)

• Trong câu phủ định hoặc câu hỏi ở dạng quá khứ, chúng ta không sử dụng did/didn't

Ví dụ:

Did you have a car when you were living in Paris?

I didn't have my phone, so I couldn't call you

• Chúng ta chỉ sử dụng HAVE trong các trường hợp sau:
