Sau đó làm theo quy tắc sau để đếm các số lẻ: Lấy số chẵn cộng thêm từ số 1 -> 9 để được các số lẻ tương ứng. Lưu ý: Các số 21, 31, 41, 51, 61 thì phải có thêm "et" ở giữa. Ví dụ: 21 = vingt et un. Riêng 81 thì không có "et" nên sẽ viết và đọc là quatre-vingt-un.
Học đếm các số 70 và 90
70 = 60 + 10 = soixante dix, lần lượt các số 71, 72, 73.. 79 sẽ là soixante + onze, douze, treize.. dix-neuf.
90 = 80 + 10 = quatre-vingt-dix, cách tạo số lẻ tương ứng cũng giống như 70, phải cộng với từ 11->19, chứ không phải từ 1->9.

10 000 000 = dix millions
100 000 000= cent millions
1 000 000 000 = Un milliard
