Theo lời phỏng vấn mà "Dankanator" hỏi Foster The People, một trong số họ - chính xác hơn là giọng ca chính trong ban nhạc là Mark Foster đã trả lời câu hỏi của Dankanator khi họ hỏi "Lamb's Wool" rốt cuộc là gì? Anh đã nói rằng "Lamb's Wool" nói về nỗi đau mà bạn cảm thấy khi mất một người thân yêu, mặc dù toàn bộ album là về việc nhìn vào tình yêu qua mỗi mỗi ống kính. Cho dù đó là tình yêu lãng mạn, tình yêu Platonic và tình yêu gia đình.
