Good Kids Know What's Right and Wrong
Sawasdee Dharma.
Let's come and listen. I have lots of fun good tales. If there is any thing that you want to know, I, as a monk, will expalain you clearly.
Children always want toys. But if they don't think carefully and spend all of their pocket money to buy toys, they will finally be in trouble.
At a candy store, there was a capsule toy vending machine. The children were so excited about it.
Khao Tu and Loma wanted the toys inside the machine. So they started to count their pocket money.
While Loma often came to the candy store and spent his money on the toy vending machine, Khao Tu saved her money everyday.
After several days, Loma still didn't get the biggest toy. He got only some colorful candy and chewing gum which caused him a toothache.
One day in the afternoon, Khao Tu came happily with a wind-up duck in her hand. While Loma was standing sadly in front of the candy store. Khao Tu said hello to him.
Loma told her that he had spent all his money trying to get a wind-up doll from the toy vending machine, but he still didn't get it. He asked Khao Tu about how she did.
Khao Tu told him that it's not because she was lucky. It's because she saved money by putting it in her piggy bank, and after that she used it to buy the doll.
Khao Tu's mom told her to divide the money into two parts: One was for buying things that she wanted: The other was to be saved in the bank.
Loma then felt ashamed that he was superfluous and wasted all his money. He tought that if he had saved money, he would have had a robot now.
Khao Tu encouraged Loma to start saving money, and he would be able to buy it soon. It's not too late to do so.
This story teaches the children to save money and spend it carefully. And if they want a toy, they should wait until they save enough money to buy it.
