"Humankind" là ca khúc thứ năm được hé lộ sẽ nằm trong album phòng thu đầu tay của anh chàng David Kushner có tên "The Dichotomy", được phát hành chính thức cùng một music video vào ngày 21 tháng 6 năm 2024. Bài hát thuộc thể loại dark pop với những nhịp điệu đầy mạnh mẽ này nói về việc ta đặt trọn niềm tin vào người khác, nhưng rồi chỉ nhận lại sự thất vọng trước hành động của họ và biết rằng bản thân đã tin tưởng sai người. Theo một nghĩa rộng hơn, nó phản ánh những khiếm khuyết và thiếu sót của xã hội, cũng như cuộc đấu tranh không ngừng để tìm kiếm lòng tốt và sự chân thành trong một thế giới vô cùng khắc nghiệt.
