Vào ngày 26/03/2026, KANGMIN (em út của VERIVERY) đã chính thức ra mắt solo với đĩa đơn đầu tay mang tên "Free Falling". Sản phẩm âm nhạc này bao gồm ca khúc chủ đề cùng tên, đoạn nhạc mở đầu "intro: Small, fragile and still here" và ca khúc b-side mang tựa đề "in the mirror".

Được xây dựng trên nền nhạc pop R&B bắt tai, kết hợp hài hòa cùng các chất liệu bossa nova và tiết tấu drum & bass, bài hát mô tả một mối quan hệ độc hại – nơi hai người biến sự thân mật thành vũ khí để làm tổn thương nhau qua những cuộc tranh cãi luẩn quẩn. Nhân vật chính rơi vào trạng thái tâm lý mâu thuẫn sâu sắc, chấp nhận chọn nỗi đau khi ở bên đối phương thay vì phải chịu đựng sự cô đơn. Qua đó, ca khúc phản ánh một vòng lặp tự hủy hoại vô lý đầy bất lực, khi một người liên tục lao vào thứ làm tổn thương mình và đánh mất khả năng tự lựa chọn bình yên.
