Thay vì tiếp tục làm các album tái thu âm để hoàn thành dự án thì cô nàng bất ngờ hé lộ sẽ cho ra mắt album phòng thu thứ 10 mang tên "midnights" sẽ ra mắt vào ngày 21.10.2022 khi đang nhận giải ở VMA. Tuy nhiên, theo như cô nàng thì 13 bài hát là chưa đủ, và đó cũng là lý do 3 tiếng sau khi cho ra mắt album Midnights, cô nàng đã tiếp tục cho ra mắt phiên bản 3Am (3 giờ sáng). The great war là một trong 7 bài hát được cô nàng cho ra mắt như phần bonus thêm của album Midnight mở rộng. Bài hát này thú thật là bài mình thích nhất cả album bởi cái giai điệu của nhạc chiến vô cùng cháy nhưng vẫn mang một vẻ trang nghiêm đến lạ thường. Tuy là bài hát viết về tình yêu nhưng lại thông qua nét bút của chiến tranh, qua xương máu của bao chiến sĩ đã hy sinh vì tổ quốc, đây chắc chắn là một bài hát mà các bạn nên nghe và thưởng thức nhé.
