Sau single thứ hai mang tên "MASCARA", các cô gái nhóm nhạc nữ XG (Xtraordinary Girls) đã quay trở lại thị trường âm nhạc với single thứ ba với ca khúc chủ đề cùng tên mang tên "Shooting Star" vào ngày 25 tháng 1 năm 2023. Bài hát với chất pop sôi động, bắt tai với nhiều giai điệu hiphop được pha trộn hài hòa. Ca khúc đã thể hiện được quyết tâm và mong muốn vươn tầm ra thị trường quốc tế của nhóm nhạc nữ đến từ Nhật Bản cũng như của những ALPHAZ (tên fandom của nhóm) và cam kết rằng họ có thể làm được điều đó. Mỗi thành viên đều có thể thể hiện cá tính của mình và điều đó góp thành tạo nên màu sắc thực sự của XG. MV cũng mang nhiều màu sắc rực rỡ không kém ca khúc, cùng những khung hình mãn nhãn sẽ khiến cho người xem có cảm giác như mình đang lơ lửng trong không gian.

XG (Xtraordinary Girls) là một nhóm nhạc nữ toàn cầu thuộc hãng XGALX - công ty trực thuộc của tập đoàn giải trí Nhật Bản Avex do người sáng lập Max Matsuura và có trụ sở tại Tokyo, Nhật Bản. Đây là nhóm nhạc nữ R&B Hiphop đến từ đất nước mặt trời mọc Nhật Bản và hoạt động tại thị trường Hàn Quốc. Nhóm bao gồm bảy thành viên: Jurin, Chisa, Cocona, Hinata, Maya, Juria, Harvey. Tên của nhóm chứa đựng những khát vọng mà nhóm cố gắng truyền tải đến cho những người trẻ tuổi trên toàn thế giới bằng âm nhạc và màn trình diễn mới mẻ cũng đầy sáng tạo của họ. Họ đã ra mắt vào ngày 18 tháng 3 năm 2022 với đĩa đơn đầu tay mang tên "Tippy Toes" . Được biết thành viên thứ tám của nhóm Hikaru sẽ tham gia hoạt động cùng nhóm sau khi cô nàng kết thúc hợp đồng với KEP1ER vào năm 2024.
