Mở đầu EP là ca khúc "Notebook", với thể loại Alternative Pop và Electropop, ca khúc nói về một mối quan hệ thất bại, trong đó nữ ca sĩ bày tỏ sự thất vọng và chán nản của mình với người yêu. Cô cảm thấy rằng người kia ích kỷ và không ưu tiên nhu cầu của cô trong mối quan hệ. Cô cũng cảm thấy rằng người yêu của mình không nỗ lực đủ để khiến mối quan hệ hoạt động và học cách trở thành một người tốt hơn.

Điều này được minh chứng rõ hơn ở verse thứ hai "What's the point in your" I love yous "when they don't hold any weight? / You touch your computer much more than you have ever touched me", ý chỉ rằng anh chàng này thường nói yêu cô nhưng lời nói đó không thật lòng, anh cũng dùng máy tính nhiều hơn là dành thời gian với cô khiến cô rất không vui.
