GENESIS. performed by RAYE Đĩa đơn đầu tiên được nữ nghệ sĩ RAYE cho ra mắt kể từ sau album phòng thu debut "My 21st Century Blues" có tên "Genesis.", được "xuất xưởng" cùng một MV chính thức với độ dài hơn 7 phút đồng hồ vào ngày 7 tháng 6 năm 2024. Bài hát này được chia làm thành ba phần riêng biệt, và các phần riêng biệt đều có trong EP cùng tên của ca khúc. Lần đầu tiên người hâm mộ được biết đến bài hát này là với cái tên ban đầu "Let There Be Light", đã được giới thiệu từ tháng 3 năm 2024 tại BRITs (British Phonographic Industry's - Giải thưởng âm nhạc đại chúng hàng năm của ngành ghi âm nước Anh). "Genesis." là một sự hòa trộn của các thể loại như: Pop jazz, dark pop, funk, hiphop và soul pop. Nội dung chính của bài hát xoay quanh việc đối phó với những "con ác quỷ" bên trong nhân vật chính, cảm thấy bị mắc kẹt trong một chu kỳ đau đớn và luôn thực hiện những hành vi tự hủy hoại bản thân, và cuối cùng là tìm kiếm con đường hướng tới sự chữa lành và thay đổi. Qua đó, bài hát đã gói gọn và mang đến người nghe toàn bộ hành trình khám phá bản thân và khát vọng về một tương lai tươi sáng hơn.
