"Persona" của Charli xcx khám phá sâu sắc trò chơi xây dựng hình ảnh công khai và sự tự diễn xuất trong các mối quan hệ hiện đại. Là track thứ 9 thuộc album phòng thu thứ tám "Music, Fashion, Film" (ra mắt ngày 24/07/2026), bài hát sở hữu chất nhạc Indie Rock pha Alternative Rock đậm tính thử nghiệm, đưa người nghe vào không gian tâm lý nơi hai cái tôi soi chiếu lẫn nhau.
Không dừng lại ở một bản diss track vạch trần sự trình diễn hay cái tôi của đối phương, nữ ca sĩ nhận ra cô cũng đang tham gia vào vở kịch đó. Ca khúc gợi liên tưởng đến ranh giới mờ nhạt giữa các bản ngã trong bộ phim tâm lý "Persona" (1966), nơi sự phòng vệ không xuất phát từ thù địch, mà đến từ nỗi sợ bị khước từ và sự đồng điệu giữa hai tâm hồn quá giống nhau.
Cuối cùng, tác phẩm khép lại bằng sự thấu hiểu: Lớp mặt nạ "persona" hay sự hư vinh không chia rẽ họ, mà lại chính là điểm chung kéo hai người lại gần nhau.
