Trước thềm comeback chính thức cùng mini album thứ ba "Lose Yourself" vào ngày 15 tháng 10 năm 2024, nhóm nhạc nữ Hàn Quốc KISS OF LIFE đã tung ra pre-released single "mở đường" mang tên "R. E. M" . Bài hát được phát hành vào ngày 4 tháng 10 năm 2024 cùng với một MV chính thức. Trong MV, các cô nàng có một chuyến đi đầy mộng mơ, cùng với những điểm dừng chân mang màu sắc huyền ảo trên suốt dọc đường đi.

"R. E. M" là một bản nhạc với phần lời hoàn toàn bằng tiếng Anh, thuộc thể loại pop nhẹ nhàng và dịu êm, nói về tầm quan trọng của các mối quan hệ trong cuộc sống.
