"Castles Crumbling" là màn hợp tác của Taylor Swift với Hayley Williams, một track nhạc chưa từng được tiết lộ trước đây (vault track). Đây cũng là ca khúc thứ 20 nằm trong album thu âm lại thứ ba của ca sĩ kiêm nhạc sĩ người Mỹ mang tên "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)", phát hành vào ngày 7 tháng 7 năm 2023. "Castles Crumbling" thuộc thể loại country nhẹ nhàng và đầy u buồn, mang đến cho người một cái nhìn thoáng qua về nỗi lo lắng của Taylor rằng danh tiếng của cô sẽ giảm dần đi và rồi mọi người sẽ quay lưng lại với cô nàng.
Nói về sự hợp tác với hai khách mời trong album thu lại lần này là ban nhạc rock Fall Out Boy và giọng hát chính Hayley Williams của nhóm nhạc rock Paramore, Taylor nói: "Vì Speak Now là tất cả về những sáng tác của tôi, nên tôi quyết định tìm đến những nghệ sĩ mà tôi cảm thấy có ảnh hưởng mạnh mẽ nhất đến mình với tư cách là người viết lời vào thời điểm đó và mời họ góp giọng trong album lần này".
