Là ca khúc mở đầu và cũng là ca khúc chủ đề cùng tên cho album phòng thu thứ hai của Kim Petras, "Problématique" được phát hành vào ngày 18 tháng 9 năm 2023. Đây là một bài hát dance pop và synthpop tràn đầy năng lượng và tự tin, ẩn chứa thái độ vui tươi và đầy nổi loạn. Lời trong bài hát truyền tải cảm giác tự tin và lòng can đảm để không hối lỗi về bản thân. Ca khúc khuyến khích người nghe thành thật với chính mình, chấp nhận bản thân và trân trọng sự độc đáo của một người, ngay cả khi đối mặt với những lời chỉ trích hoặc tranh cãi.

Ban đầu album "Problématique" là một dự án âm nhạc chính thức của nữ ca sĩ vào năm 2019, nhưng cuối cùng đã bị loại bỏ vào năm 2022 khi hầu hết các bài hát trong album bị rò rỉ trên Internet. Thế nhưng trong khuôn khổ của "Feed The Beast Tour" của Kim Petras, cô nàng cho biết album bao gồm 10 bài hát này sẽ được phát hành chính thức vào ngày 18 tháng 9 năm 2023.
