Track nhạc thứ 12 "coming of age" là ca khúc cuối cùng khép lại album phòng thu thứ hai "rising" của nữ ca sĩ người Mỹ mxmtoon, đây cũng là đĩa đơn thứ tư và là cuối cùng trước khi cô phát hành album đầy đủ vào ngày 20/5/2022, với thể loại Indie Pop, Alternative Pop kết hợp cùng yếu tố Disco Pop nhẹ, bài hát truyền tải thông điệp về sự tự khám phá, đón nhận thay đổi và thoát khỏi những ràng buộc của xã hội. Ca khúc khuyến khích người nghe đón nhận sự phát triển cá nhân và tự định hình con đường riêng, bất kể kỳ vọng của người khác.
Nữ ca sĩ chia sẻ về bài hát rằng: "Tôi bắt đầu tập trung vào mxmtoon khi tôi mười bảy tuổi.
