Sau nhiều lần tung hint về màn trở lại, nữ chủ nhân bản hit "Woman" Doja Cat đã vừa quay trở lại đường đua âm nhạc vào tháng 6 năm 2023 cùng một sản phẩm mới mang tên "Attention" . Trong lần trở lại này, âm nhạc Doja sẽ thiên hướng đến nhạc rap nhiều hơn thay vì là nhạc pop như trong những album trước đây của cô nàng. Những đoạn rap khá bắt tai cùng giọng hát mơ màng của Doja kết hợp một cách hài hòa, nói về sự soi mói và những bàn tán về đời sống cũng như âm nhạc của Doja. Họ cho rằng cô nàng trở nên nổi loạn và khó hiểu như hiện tại chỉ là để tìm một chút sự chú ý trên mạng xã hội. Tuy vậy, nhiều người đưa ra ý kiến cho rằng đây chắc chắn sẽ là một ca khúc kén người nghe.

MV chính thức cho ca khúc cũng được ra mắt vào lúc 11h ngày 16 tháng 6 năm 2023, do Taku Muino đạo diễn. Phần hình ảnh cho ca khúc mang một màu sắc đen tối và đầy vẻ bí ẩn, Doja đã xuất hiện cùng một tạo hình táo bạo và không kém phần độc đáo. Ca khúc dự kiến sẽ nằm trong album phòng thu tiếp theo của Doja mang tên "SCARLET" .
