Nhóm nhạc nữ Hàn Quốc aespa đã có màn debut tại thị trường Nhật cùng với single album đầu tiên mang tên "Hot Mess", được phát hành vào ngày 3 tháng 7 năm 2024. Ngoài ra, single album này còn có bản b-side khác mang tên "Sun And Moon" và bản phát hành trước đó "ZOOM ZOOM". Một MV chính thức đầy màu sắc cho ca khúc chủ đề cũng được ra mắt vào cùng ngày.

"Hot Mess" là một bản nhạc thuộc thể loại dance pop với giai điệu mạnh mẽ, cùng với âm thanh đặc trưng của kèn saxophone và đoạn rap đầy ấn tượng. Bài hát [COLOR=rgb(0, 0, 0) ]khuyến khích người nghe tự hào về sự độc đáo của mình và để bản thân được nổi bật giữa đám đông. Chủ đề chính được lặp đi lặp lại xuyên suốt bài hát chính là không hối hận khi được là chính mình, ngay cả khi điều đó là không theo khuôn mẫu hoặc khác biệt với các chuẩn mực xã hội.[/COLOR]
