Students can enhance writing skills, scanning and skimming skills, and critical thinking thanks to conducting research. They also can acquire knowledge outside class. Therefore, I believe that conducting research at the University level is vital.

Some students do not think that conducting research is necessary for their future careers. They believe that it only is a difficult assignment that the professors require in class. Many jobs such as sales or translation may not require implementing research. However, I disagree with this statement, as I think that conducting research will help in my career.

In fact, some skills such as writing skills, reading skills, and critical thinking will be greatly improved by conducting research. Students read and analyze the researches of other authors by using their knowledge and critical ability to find flaws and new points. They will make and analyze surveys based on these new points. Finally, these are written into reports, papers or proposals. Besides, the style of writing research is highly and strictly required. Therefore, students have to write correctly and carefully.

In my view, conducting research at the university level is vital. I realize that my writing skills have improved and I also can get higher marks. In addition, it helps me answer what I do not know or doubt. I will have a deeper understanding of the knowledge that I learned in class as well as outside classes.

At Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, conducting research is introduced for students in third years. Students will be guided and get to know the research about some topics that related to their subjects.
