The graph below gives information about the preferred leisure activities of Australian children.

The bar chart compares the proportion of five leisure activity preferences between girls and boys aged 5-14 in Australia.

First of all, the ratio of watching TV or videos for both girls and boys is 100%. This is the most preferred activity with Australian children. Boys play electronic games and bike riding more than girls with 80% and 72% accordingly. Whereas, the percentage of girls is only from 57-60.

In contrast, skateboarding or rollerblading is the fewest selected activity. The proportion of boys and girls choosing this activity are respectively 39% and 27%. Girls have more interested in art and craft than boys. The number of girls interested in art and craft is twice as many as boys. Nearly 60% of girls attend these activities, while the proportion of boys is 32%.

Overall, boys tend to participate in recreational activities more than girls except for art and craft. Watching television is the most popular entertainment activity of both genders, while Australian children are less interested in skateboarding or rollerblading.
